
The local history museum was opened in 1982 and within its exhibition area of more than 250 m², numerous exhibits vividly portray life from the past, the difficult work, and the lifestyle of the people in everyday life. It provides an overview of the way of life, the history and culture of the Waldeck Upland. Exhibition rooms: flax processing and loom demonstrations, the “good room” kitchen, farming, milk processing, village school, handicrafts, coins, books, historical documents, clothing, chests, winter sports, bedrooms and fauna and flora of the Upland.
Hours of operation:
Wednesday and Saturday from 16:00 to 18:00
Tours each day at 16:00 and 17:00 and by appointment
During the time from Nov. 1 to Dec. 15, the museum is closed, however tours can be arranged by appointment. Entrance is free!
